1. Motorcyclists Crash While Flirting with Cute Girls

Two men, riding side by side, in Boise, Idaho brought traffic to a screeching halt after they crashed into one another while flirting with girls in a nearby car. Witnesses say they saw one of the riders reach out to touch one of the girls riding in the backseat. All of this could have been avoided if the riders had kept their hands on the controls and their eyes on the road.

2. No Pants, No Helmet, Big Problem

A man in the city of Hamilton in the province of Toronto, Canada was  recently stopped after being discovered riding with no helmet…and no pants. Of course he had been drinking.

3. Teenagers Race At Speeds of 111 to See the Lemon Passage Ghost

In Australia, groups of teenagers have been seen speeding down the highways of Lemon Tree Passage at speeds of 111 miles an hour to try and capture the rumored ghost of a 20 year-old motorcycle accident victim. Several videos of an eerie light have been posted to www.Youtube.com, but the eerie glow seems to be anything from the lights of another car to street lamps. No one has been able to confirm or deny anything regarding an actual sighting of the rumored ghost. However, police have issued a safety warning for local motorists to watch out for the teens and have threatened harsh punishments for anyone found trying to complete the 111 mile-per-hour stunt.

Anyway you slice it, it has been a strange week for motorcycle riding.

The event begins at 9:30am and goes until 5pm. All registration takes place the day of at Chad’s Place located at 40740 Village Dr.,  Big Bear Lake, CA.

This event is open to the public and all bikes are welcome! The cost is 25$ per rider, $20 per co-rider and includes a Poker Run, Pins and a T-shirt.

All proceeds go to the support of the Grizzly Bears at the Moonridge Animal Park.

This event is near and dear to my heart as my mother is a part time resident of Big Bear Lake, CA and I went to the Moonridge Animal Park all the time as a kid and teen.

We are so jealous….

So you need space in the garage and decide it’s time to part with an older motorcycle. You go set up a classified ad on Craigslist and wait for the offers to come in. But this might not be the end of the story.

A new trend for stealing motorcycles is starting to crop up in the land of Craigslist.

In Athens-Clarke county Georgia, at least 4 thefts have occurred since June of this year. What do they  have in common? All four sellers posted their bikes on Craigslist.

The scam goes as follows. Two men set up an appointment to see the motorcycle, but are very hesitant to give out their identities. They use multiple phone number to set up appointments and request to be shown the bike in an area away from the sellers home. After taking the bike for a “test ride” the “buyer” never returns with the vehicle.

While it seems like common sense to not meet the buyer in an unfamiliar location or give possession of the motorcycle to the “buyer” before receiving payment, it is still a warning that is being given out.

So if you’re selling your motorcycle on Craigslist, always use common sense.

Harley-Davidson is recalling FXDR models manufactured within this time period over concern that the fork leg assemblies may have been assembled using the incorrect springs. This deviation causes the bike to have an irregular lean when parked with the side stand and can reduce traction on road surfaces that deviate from standard highway surfaces. This can cause a crash. Harley-Davidson estimates that only 70 units may be affected.
